The Blade Grinding Attachment turns the Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Knife and Tool Sharpener Mk.2 into a horizontal benchtop grinder. Larger belts, a wider angle range, and convex edge control make it a big step up for anyone who has outgrown the standard sharpening guide. Designed with knifemaker Ken Onion, it is an add-on for Mk.2 owners, and the sharpener is not included. Owners of the original Ken Onion Edition should choose the separate Blade Grinder Attachment built for that model.

Belts: The attachment runs 1" x 18" belts, longer and wider than the Mk.2's standard 3/4" x 12". The extra length spreads heat and wear across more abrasive, and the wider belt gives you a steadier platform on long blades. The included five belt kit runs P120, X65, X22, and X4 to a 12000 grit extra fine belt for a polished apex.

Angles: Edge angles adjust from 10 to 35 degrees. That is wider than the Mk.2's 15 to 30 degree guide on both ends, low enough for thin slicers and fillet knives and steep enough for heavy choppers and hard use edges.

Convex Control: Three convex edge profile settings let you choose how much the belt rolls the bevel. The result is a durable convex edge that was previously only practical on a full size grinder or by hand on a soft backed strop.

Control: Two reference plates help you hold the blade level and keep the angle consistent, with a touchless setup that keeps your best knives off anything that could mark them.
