The Medford STA Sniper is a fixed blade built for the work of a scout sniper, made by Medford Knife & Tool in Phoenix, Arizona. Greg Medford designed it for a USMC Scout Sniper and instructor with the STA Training Group in Phoenix, folding the tools a sniper uses in the field into a compact knife that fits on any kit.
A half inch wrench in the handle fits nearly any scope ring mount, and a flat blade driver at the hilt fits turret adjustments. Measuring marks along the spine serve both scouting and sniper work, and a look through range estimator helps with visual range estimation out to 400 yards, with no batteries to fail. The edge stays simple so the STA Sniper works for the widest range of users, which makes it a practical tactical knife for shooters and hunters alike.
The STA Sniper runs a 4.375 inch blade on 0.150 inch stock, 9.375 inches overall, with G-10 scales and a Kydex sheath. Choose Vulcan finished D2 in black or OD green, or tumbled CPM 3V in black or OD green. Our knife steel guide compares D2 and 3V. The same design in 1095 with a leather sheath is the 1881 Knifeworks STA Sniper. For more Medford fixed blades built around Marine service, see the USMC Raider and USMC EOD.
