Dull Boy Blades builds the Whole Enchilada in Lubbock, Texas. It's a pocket knife sharpener that strips field maintenance down to the two things an edge actually needs: something to raise a burr and something to remove it. A 600 grit diamond stone handles the first job, and a cowhide leather strop, sized to match the stone, handles the second, polishing the edge back to working sharpness without eating steel the way repeated stone work does. For more on raising and removing a burr, our knife sharpening guide walks through the process.
The housing is 3D printed in PLA and measures 3.6" x 1.6" x 0.75" closed at just 2.2 ounces, small enough to disappear into a pocket, pack, or range bag. Rather than folding out sideways, the base slides out, rotates, and locks back in with an audible click, raising the working surfaces to 1.13" tall above your hand and keeping fingers out of the blade path. Closed, the body protects both the stone and the strop, so it rides safely next to keys and gear. Colors include OD Green, Red, Glow in the Dark, Caribbean Blue, FDE, and Black, each also offered with rouge, like the Black with Rouge, for a step more refinement on the leather.
The filament, leather, and packaging are all sourced in the United States, and only the diamond stone comes from overseas. The print based build is what makes the wide color range and quick production changes possible. The strop matches the stone in size on purpose, because in the field you will strop far more often than you sharpen, and regular stropping keeps an edge keen while saving steel. The Whole Enchilada sits alongside the folding diamond sharpeners and guided hones in our pocket knife sharpeners. For bench maintenance between trips, pair it with a full size setup from our leather strops and hones collection and a bar of sharpening compound.
