The Medford Emperor is the fixed blade that inspired the Praetorian, made by Medford Knife & Tool in Phoenix, Arizona. Medford built it as half of a matched pair, a fixed blade and a folder with near identical size, weight, and feel, so the knife on your kit and the knife in your pocket handle the same way.
The Emperor shares its combo grind with the folding Medford Praetorian: a flat ground tip for strength and a hollow ground main edge for slicing. A window breaking pommel finishes the handle, which makes it a natural fit for a tactical kit. If you carry a Praetorian every day, the Emperor gives you the same grip and geometry in a fixed blade.
The Emperor runs a 3.75 inch blade on 0.27 inch stock, 8.75 inches overall, with a G-10 handle and Kydex sheath. Tumbled S35VN comes in black, coyote, and OD green, and DLC coated D2 comes in black and coyote with black hardware. Compare S35VN and D2 in our knife steel guide. For a larger Medford fixed blade, step up to the Jungle Fighter or Bonfire.
