The Medford Antik is a sleek titanium front flipper from Medford Knife & Tool, made in Phoenix, Arizona. It keeps a full size 3.75 inch blade but slims the frame down, so if a Medford has always looked too bulky for your pocket, the Antik is the one to look at.
The front flipper tab lets you snap the Antik open fast or slow roll it with control, and a titanium frame lock holds the blade in place. At 4.4 ounces and 4.55 inches closed, it carries at less than half the weight of a full size Praetorian T with the same blade length, a pocket friendly Medford folding knife. Many Antiks wear Medford's sculpted titanium, from stained glass and cobblestone patterns to PenFlm textured finishes, so no two look quite alike.
Every Antik runs a 3.75 inch blade on 0.125 inch stock, 8.25 inches open. The tanto comes in S35VN with a DLC or tumbled finish, and the drop point comes in S45VN, also DLC or tumbled. Our knife steel guide compares S35VN and S45VN. For another Medford titanium frame lock, look at the Proxima, or for a titanium button lock, the Smooth Criminal.
